As with any shared fitness facility, there are certain courtesies and guidelines we ask our members and visitors to respect.
Nothing’s worse than a last minute set-up! Do yourself a favour and come to the studio 10-15 minutes before class starts to check-in, get water, get settled, etc. Be sure to let the front desk know you’re a first time guest and we’ll get you set up for your workout!
If you signed up in advance, you will still need to check in at the front desk, so we know that you have arrived and are attending class. Note: If you’re not checked in 5 minutes before your class, your spot may be released to another member.
No one likes to be stood up! If you are a Class Card holder and do not show for a class that you have registered for (or cancel with less than 2 hours notice), one class will be deducted from your Class Card. This policy ensures that wait-list members will have a spot in the class should you cancel.
For Unlimited Memberships, if you no-show or late-cancel with less than 2 hours notice, your account will be charged a Drop-In fee of $16.
If a class is full, we recommend you add yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available in advance of 2 hours to the class start time, you will receive an email informing you of your addition to the class. If a spot becomes available less than 2 hours prior to the beginning of class, you will be contacted directly by email and offered the open spot.
We are a team: we start class together and we aim to finish together. We understand that schedules may conflict and people may occasionally need to leave class early. If this is the case, please notify the instructor prior to class start.
We move through the class as one, however, it is essential that you listen to your body and go at your own pace. If you need to take a break, reduce the tension on your bike and pedal slowly, but please STAY IN THE ROOM! Staying on your bike will ensure your safety, increase your fitness level (even if you take it easy), and will help to maintain the positive energy in the room.
Please place outdoor footwear on the mats provided at the front entrance. NO OUTDOOR SHOES ARE ALLOWED IN THE STUDIOS.
All riders are encouraged to wear cycling shoes that clip into the pedals. Why?? Having your foot in a more secure position on the pedal allows for a more efficient pedal stroke…and it’s simply more fun to clip in!! Our bikes are equipped with pedals sporting the Shimano cleats. There is no additional charge for shoe rental. If you already own shoes that fit this cleat, please bring them along. Cycling shoes are to be worn in the spin studio only…always remove your shoes before leaving the studio.
Be sure to hydrate before, during, and after your workout. We have water bottles and other cold drinks for sale in our studio or bring your own and fill up at our water station!
Our complimentary daily lockers have keys, so no need to bring a clunky lock. But, please leave your valuables at home as we cannot be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Please don’t bring phones into the studio. You’ll have to wait until after your workout to text/tweet/FB/IG about how great our classes are.
We have complimentary yoga mats and props available for your use. Please ensure all equipment is wiped down with the wipes provided……Help us keep Kinetic germ free.
Our classes are full-body workouts and like any new fitness routine, you may want to chat with your doctor before your first class. If you have any injuries or medical issues, please let us know before class. Our motivational instructors will inspire you to push yourself, but please listen to your body and work out at a pace that is comfortable for you.
